SHOAL COVE BEACH

Shoal Cove Beach is known to be one of the nicest beaches on the Burin Peninsula. The long sandy beach is great for picnics with the family, camping, bonfires, exploring, or just relaxing. Visit Shoal Cove Beach to sit by the ocean and listen to the relaxing sound of waves rolling in. On a real nice day, you will wonder if you are even still in Atlantic Canada.

To get to Shoal Cove Beach you have to travel approximately 3km from St. Lawrence along the old mine roads that run through the country of our town. Before you get to Iron Springs Mine site make a left and travel for a couple minutes until you come to another fork in the road. Take a left to get to Shoal Cove Beach and take a right to go to Hare's Ears, a place overlooking Shoal Cove, where there once was a surface mine and the department of transport radiostation. From Hare's Ears you will also get a great view of Big Salt Cove.
